Board of Directors
Jeremy Goodwin
Jeremy is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in leadership development from his nearly 26 years of service as an officer in the United States Air Force.
His background is steeped in engineering and management, and he’s led teams larger than 1,000 people as they’ve built some of our country’s most advanced national security systems. Over the course of his career, he’s found his greatest joy in helping people assess and build their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual resiliency so that they can ultimately become the kind of transformational leaders their teams need to efficiently and effectively achieve their goals.
Jeremy holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree in Astronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
He and his wife, Louise, have been married for 19 years, and he’s “fun-daddy” to Isaac and Caleb. His free time is spent playing with LEGO®, watching little league baseball, and serving at church. Doing life together with Louise and his church community is how he stays grounded and anchored in his faith. Jeremy is honored to partner with Ten Ten Life and represent service members on the Board.
ChairmanYukubu Carriker
Yukubu “Kubey” Carriker is a dedicated fiduciary financial coach with a passion for helping individuals achieve financial independence and growth. His commitment lies in guiding clients to make smart, informed financial decisions that pave the way for long-term financial security.
Before embarking on his journey as a financial advisor, Kubey served for nearly 22 years in the US Air Force, flying over 1,300 hours in the mighty E-3 AWACS aircraft. He deployed four times and led many organizations.
Kubey holds multiple degrees in Project Management, Intelligence, & Technical management. He holds multiple financial licenses & graduated at the top of his class as the Distinguished Graduate.
On a personal note, Kubey has been married to his wonderful wife Mai for over 23 years. They are proud parents of two college students & 3 deployment dogs. Outside of work and home, Kubey leads the production team for National Community Church Northern Virginia and co-leads the men’s faith group. His love for God and belief in the Lord's great commandment to "LOVE EVERYBODY" is at the heart of everything he does.
TreasurerAnna Graham
Anna is the Chief Operating Officer of an international humanitarian and child-placing agency (America World Adoption Association). As a Licensed Masters of Social Work, she has advocated for orphans and vulnerable children since 2004.
Her work serving families and children has spanned partnerships with nonprofits and governments around the world. Anna is in residency part-time to complete her license in clinical social work and she sees clients at New Story Behavioral Health with Curt Thompson, MD.
Anna is an alumni of Sweet Briar College where she focused on psychology, business management and equine studies. Along with completing her Masters in Social Work, Anna is Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Equine Assisted Learning and Growth certified. She mingles compassionate care and direct candor in a unique style that invites growth, awareness and healing.
On most evenings and weekends you can find Anna and her husband Kevin on a sports field in Northern Virginia cheering for one of their three children.
SecretaryMarion Mason
Marion is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and is a Campus Pastor with NOVA Community Church in Northern Virginia. Marion is originally from Lincolnton, GA, but as a military child, he spent a number of years in North Carolina and the DC metro area.
Marion is a sports enthusiast and competed in Track and Field at the University of Virginia, where he graduated with a BA in Government and Foreign Affairs. He holds Master’s degrees in Public Administration and Non-Profit Management from George Mason University and Religion (Christian Leadership) from Liberty University. Marion has a deep passion for creating environments that optimize learning, personal development, and spiritual growth.
Marion and his wife, Tamika, have been married since 2004 and have three beautiful daughters, Mianna, Makyah, and Mykal. For the 10 years prior to NCC, Marion and Tamika served the Boston community through a multi-ethnic church plant, various non-profit organizations, and local colleges. The Mason family enjoys barbecues, sports, board games, and outdoor activities.

Martha Herb, EdD, LPC, RADM
Retired USN Veteran, EMDR Trainer, Therapist, SpeakerMartha Herb is a licensed therapist specializing in EMDR who has more than 25 years of experience. Martha is a retired US Navy veteran who began her military career as a Navy Diving and Salvage Officer. Her esteemed career included multiple command tours, a 1-year tour in Afghanistan, experience in NATO, and serving as the 25th Director of the IADC. Martha earned many awards over her career, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
As a therapist, Martha is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who is an EMDR Certified Consultant, Facilitator, and Trainer. She is the owner and CEO of Lake Oconee Christian Counseling.
Curt Thompson, MD
Psychiatrist, Speaker, Author, PodcasterDr. Curt Thompson is a board-certified psychiatrist, author, speaker, and co-host of Being Known Podcast. He has been in private practice for over 30 years in Falls Church, Virginia, graduated from Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine, and completed his psychiatric residency at Temple University Hospital.
Creator of the Confessional Community® model utilized on Ten Ten Life Group Intensive Retreats, Curt strives to help patients develop flourishing lives by telling their stories more truly, in order to become more deeply known, for the purpose of creating beauty and goodness in the world. With conviction and humor, he trains clinicians and speaks at workshops, retreats, and conferences, weaving together an understanding of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and a Christian view of what it means to be human.
Curt is the Founder and Chief Purpose Officer of New Story Behavioral Health and the Founder and Board Member of the Center for Being Known.
Ben Askins
US Army Veteran, Physician Assistant, AuthorBen Askins has an eclectic background with degrees in Outdoor Education, Intercultural Studies, Physician Assistant Studies, and Divinity. He has nearly two decades of experience practicing and teaching wilderness, tactical, and expeditionary medicine in the military. In civilian life, he is a Physician Associate with an evidence-focused and integrative approach to health that includes extensive experience providing psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy and flow state mindset coaching for executives and knowledge workers. He is certified with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in MDMA-assisted psychotherapy and by the Flow Research Collective in Performance Mindset.
Ben is a member of the Wilderness Medical Society, the William Blake Society, a National Outdoor Leadership School alum, a veteran of the Global War on Terrorism, and has completed postgraduate training in Neuropsychiatry and Genomics. He is also a best-selling author who dabbles in podcasting. He and his wife have been married for twenty years, and they have four children together. There’s nothing in the world he enjoys more than cheating at cards and board games with them.
